The hospital which was established to honor Smt. Kamala Nehru opened dedicated to the nation by Mahatma Gandhi in 1941 reflecting a legacy of compassion, service, and social responsibility.
The 16.6-acre hospital campus in Prayagraj contains a 400-bed facility which provides multiple medical specialties and state-of-the-art equipment and advanced medical facilities. The hospital has recognized by the Government of India as a Regional Cancer Centre since 1994 which makes it a vital center for delivering complete cancer services to the local area.
The hospital built a Rural/Base Hospital in an underdeveloped area of Prayagraj to provide healthcare services to remote communities which exist outside city limits. This program aims to deliver healthcare services which rural communities and underserved groups can access at affordable prices.
The hospital obtained NABH accreditation in 2019 to demonstrate its dedication to achieving optimal patient protection and medical service delivery and operational excellence.
